Our Purpose
THE LEARNING BUS project's purpose is to provide complementary education to poor children. The project intends to use mobile units fitted with computers, and other required technical tools, that would visit selected neighborhoods where children and youth can access educational software and internet to complement the formal education they are receiving at their local schools. The program's curricula has been developed in accordance to school board programs of the counties where the units will operate. Services are provided at no cost to the users. The project's service providers are all volunteers.
Our Vision
Communities where children's basic needs have been satisfied so that they can become contributing members of society.
Our Mission
To fulfill the needs of children by implementing projects that address the areas of education, clothing, and food, through community involvement.serve as a bridge between donors and local organizations that serve the needs of poor children in disadvantaged conditions.
"Help one another. This is what Jesus teaches us. This is what I do, and I do it with my heart."

How We Work:
- Local volunteers identify and qualify projects and prioritize needs to be supported by us.
- Our Board reviews project profiles, approves grants, and identifies sources of funding.
- When appropriate, we transfer resources directly to the projects and notify the local volunteers.
- Local volunteers supervise the use of the donations to the projects, making sure funds are used as planned.
- Periodically, Soy La Esperanza's staff visit the projects to follow-up and evaluate results.
- Every quarter, local volunteers in charge of the projects report on use of funds and provide evaluations of results.
- General reports are produced periodically and donors are informed via our website or our newsletter if they are subscribed to it.
- Every year we post to our website our financial results and 990 form.
